Troubled teenage? (part -1)

Troubled teenage?

"What the hell .... this is not done, how can he jump across the mountains, while I can't... they should have given me this capability.... why are you not jumping ???? !!!!....tap! ....tap...tap!”.... Shaurya took out all his rage on the key board.

Shruti was stunned to see his 13 year old Shaurya gritting his teeth and pressing the keys so hard ... and shocked to hear this language and the tone.

"Shaurya !", a firm and authoritative call from his mother did not move Shaurya from his chair....he was still struggling with the key board and the mouse .... He was almost panting and his nostrils flared with the rage ...

Shruti was on leave today as she was not well and Shaurya's was a five day school, so in her sickness too Shruti was looking forward to spend the saturday with her son, but the viral fever and body ache had left her lying in the bed, so she allowed her son to play PC games, while she could just lie and watch him play . This sudden outburst of her son left her shocked as she also heard her mumbling some abusive words.

She got up and reached to her son who was still engrossed in the game ... where some weirdly dressed people were fighting with strange weapons in their hands, and on the other side was a female character who appeared to be straight from the “Bay watch” sets, but she too was holding a weapon, .... standing amidst the fire flames along with some Arnold Shwarzenegger look alike who probably was from the girl's side.

Oblivious to the fact that Mom was angry with him, Shaurya told her , “See Mom, they have equipped my enemies with better weapons and jumping style, where as I am only given just one razor swift sword and a fire gun ... ( “I” means probably that hero looking guy, Shruti guessed looking at the screen.)

Shruti wanted to slap him tight but controlled herself knowing the fact it was she and her husband who got him these PC games. “Shaurya...” she said, “Why are using such language, where did you learn this from? We never use such words and never speak in that tone. And will you tell me about this game, that has made you so angry?...”

Shruti always believed in friendly approach towards children and it had worked very well with her elder son who was in engineering college but somehow she was facing problems with the younger one.

Sure Mom , I will tell you see I am that smart guy on the screen and that sexy Gini is my partner...”, Shruti was stunned again hearing the word sexy being used so casually be her son at this age, still she tried to remain casual while he went on, “ so mom ...we have to cross over oceans, mountains and other tough terrains and prevent the opponents to reach the castle we have to save... well, let me just check the options and change my weapons ...may be then I can gun him down.”

Shruti shivered, “Shaurya, stop that game, right now.” she ordered her son.

"But why Mom ?, I have done my home work already. ...let me finish it. ” he said as if he crossed the hurdle of HW already before reaching to the games and sounded rebellion in his tone.

"Shaurya, do it right now, and shut down the PC. I want to speak to you, pull your chair near the bed.” Shruti ordered her son strictly and went to bed as she could not stand any longer due to fever.

Shaurya quietly obeyed her.

Shruti sat up on the bed, rested herself against the pillow and looked at her son, who was on the threshold of teen age ; then asked him, “ Why do you play such games, which makes you so angry ? And more over such words, where are you picking up this language, beta?”

She emphasized the word, “beta” as she wanted him to be open with her.

                                                         ........contd.
